Our instructors are well qualified educators and mariners.  We do NOT insult your intelligence and just read a book to you.  We explain why with visual examples (many real life occurences).  The course is long but you will not be bored. 

 

We illustrate the physics of why it works and give you the benefit of decades at sea.  We give you additional operating tips like docking techniques, chart reading, commercial navigation lighting, storm boat handling, hurricane tie-ups, anchoring techniques, storage, etc..

 

Give us your attention and you'll be surprised how well you'll do- typical final exam grades 85%-95%.  Even non-boaters do similarly well.

 

 

  Our courses provide the required basics and then some.  Every class uses actual NOAA marine navigation charts, actual running lights, demonstrations of anchoring physics, proper cleat tie-ups and much more.

    This instruction IS BEYOND those required for your Certificate.  But invaluable should you be stuck out after dark.  Or be boating near the sea lanes and in busy harbors- it can be extremely dangerous.

 

 

     An intensive small group instructional version is available.  The important thing is you KNOW what to do, keeping your passengers and your boat SAFE no matter what language you think about it in.
